About Us
Dundee Science Centre is a charity and lifelong learning resource for the community.
We are here to help families learn together, to support the formal schools curriculum, advance the science communication profession, bring together science and the public, and help others to do the same too.
Our exhibitions provide an inspiring, hands-on learning experience for everyone to visit. Our outreach work and festivals also help us take the same experiences across Scotland and beyond.
Charity
Dundee Science Centre is an independent charity, registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, Scottish Charity Register no. SC033272. We are supported by the Scottish Government Office of the Chief Scientific Advisor, Dundee City Council, and a range of other supporters who share our vision and mission – to engage the public with science, and promote lifelong learning.
Our educational work is also supported by everyone who visits us. Whenever you use our coffee shop, give a Gift Aid donation, hire our venue for your event, or use any of our other services, all income goes directly to support our work to widen access to science learning. Thank you.
Purpose, Values and Ambition
All of our work is inspired and informed by our Purpose, Values and Ambition.
- Our Purpose: Bringing people together to enjoy science.
- Our Values: Enthusiastic, Caring, Creative, Cohesive, Proud and Proactive.
- Our Ambition: Our community is curious, confident and engaged with science.
